The Khusruwiyah Mosque was commissioned during the reign of Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent by the governor of Aleppo, Khusraw Pasha. It was designed by the great court architect Mimar Sinan, and its dome was considered the biggest dome in Aleppo. It was completely destroyed during the battle of Aleppo in 2014.
