Estate home designed c. 1929 to reportedly a design by Roger H. Bullard for George Monroe Moffett, Sr {industrialist}. Moffett served as president and chairman of the board of Corn Products Refining Co. and director of Commercial Solvents Corp,. and Puerto Rico Sugar Co. He was also a trustee of Central Hanover Bank & Trust Co. and the Museum of Natural History. At his death in 1952, had an estate worth $200 million. His father, James A. Moffett, was an executive of Corn Products Refining Co. and Standard Oil Corp.

Moffett later moved to "Les Bois" in Greenvale.
