The ruined medieval church of Saint Paraskeva (Sveta Paraskeva) has given its name to the neighboring bay and cape. A one-nave domed structure, its function can be dated by graves and other finds to the 10th through 17th centuries, when it was burned down by the Turks. Remains in the immediate vicinity indicate the presence of a small monastery.
