Nasi Ayam Chee Meng began in 1965 with the founder, Mr. Yeok Kai Seng. Back then, it was known as "Chee Meng Kai Fun" which means popular chicken rice when it first started off as a little chicken rice and podridge stall setted up along Old Klang Road. In 1988, Chee Meng Kai Fun was officially registered under 'Nasi Ayam Chee Meng' as a mark of stable business establishment throughout the years of operation. After nearly 40 years of hard work and dedication, Nasi Ayam Chee Meng has become what it is today, a chain of generic chicken rice shops for the Klang Valley community. The over-whelming response from its loyal customers have led to the growth of outlets throughout the Klang Valley area.
This is one of the few Chinese restaurants certified Halal (www.halaljakim.gov.my/) by the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (www.islam.gov.my/). Due to this, the restaurant is always crowded with people.
