Suasana Bukit Ceylon residences and service apartments is one of the few freehold landmark developments within the last of the green belts of the city. This 34-storeys building is a UMLand (www.umland.com.my/) and MMC (www.mmc.com.my/) joint venture development. It consists of one to three bedrooms units priced from RM450k onwards. The attraction are the units which faces the swimming pool, overlooking Bukit Ceylon and hence will have an unobstructed commanding view of KLCC and KL Tower.
There has been some controversy earlier with landslides occuring at the site, according to the developer, they are now using secant pile walls, a Germany technology, as retaining walls, to avoid future landslide. This interlocking pile is a better slope security solution and prevents ingress of earth and water into the site. Besides that, the developer also claimed that the sub-soil at the site was predominantly clay-like silt which is strong enough for high-rise development. Apparently, the clearing of a big chunk of Bukit Ceylon for this project has caused a bungalow on top of the hill to lose part of its garden and wall.
