This sprawling sports center was constructed during the tenure of provincial governor Wayne Jaro. The olympic-size swimming pool that can be seen on the southern side of the complex was the only one of its kind in Eastern Visayas when it was finished. Succeeding provincial administrators, however, discontinued use of the pool after Jaro was defeated in 1998. At present, sources has it that the pool is used as a fish pond.
