Borongan, officially the City of Borongan, (Waray: Siyudad han Borongan; Cebuano: Dakbayan sa Borongan; Tagalog: Lungsod ng Borongan), is a 4th class city and capital of the province of Eastern Samar, Philippines. According to the 2015 census, it has a population of 69,297 people.

  • i once have stayed here in borongan in year 1973 for 7 mos. at the radio station DYFL when my bro-in-law was the station manager.... i missed the beach and the sounds of the waves just meters away form the radio station. i had friends at the UCCP church where i attended. hello, how are u there?

  • first i afraid to come this city cause many question bothered on my mind if i come this city i cannot understand there language but the people in borongan chapel st, especialy tatay wato is the best that i ever since on my life... im from cavite and i meet girl live in boronggan samar she told me she going home and stay 3 months in there province so many day many nights i thingking if she love love and will come back again in cavite but i decide to journey this city coz i like to meet there parents.. almost 1days and half i travelled to come this city.. i see beuatiful place that i ever since on my life.. i think so far but its ok cause i enjoy to view beautiful place.. hehehe i stay 1 weak on my 1 and only panget.. i plan to come again sept to enjoy the fiesta.. hello panget.. u been wait me ill come back again i miss u""'' ill bring weading ring if ill come back..hehehe. hello cristin and cristian u miss papa.. papa come back again..

" there is no place in the Philippines that you wouldn't find " corrupt politicians " i think they are everywhere, but i guess its for the youth to work hard to change this merely gross political culture... even so, i still love borongan, my parents were boronganon but i was born and raise in Quezon province, i lived there for 4 years, have spent my high school in EASTERN SAMAR NATIONAL COMPREHENSIVE HIGH SCHOOL, small but beautiful town, rich culture, hospitable and beautiful people,.. i will always look back to the place where my parents grew, its a cliche but its true. so long BORONGAN .....
