residence, LIGC - Long Island Gold Coast, historic remains, French Renaissance (architecture)
Estate home designed c. 1932 in the French Country style by Polhemus & Coffin on originally 89 acres of land for Florence Guggenheim, widow of Daniel Guggenheim. She had this smaller French County style home (meaning 'thousand flowers' in French) built by E.W. Howell & Co after her husband's death in 1930. It is now owned by Nassau County and is currently leased to the Salgo Trust for Education.
