The Courtaulds Factory was believed to been built in 1920, the company that was based here was Novaceta who were producing yarn at this site. The building's clocktower was a distinctive feature to locals living nearby. A victim of the 1920s recession, the building remained empty until it was pulled down in 1995. As a tribute to the once known landmark of Nuneaton, the site entrance to the factory has remained.
