Mounted high up above Union Street this is a giant electronic advertising screen. Absolutely pointless, because you have to stand so far away up Renfield Street to actually see it you can't read the writing.
Nonetheless its history is more interesting - this was the site of the famous Irn-Bru Clock which hung up here for decades, in fact this was the closest Glasgow ever got to having its own Piccadilly Circus as Bells' Whisky also had another giant neon sign adjacent to it. The neon signs eventually disappeared, and this screen was put up in the early 2000s presumably as a sop to the old Irn-Bru Clock.
