St. Sargis Church is an Armenian Apostolic Church , located in the south of Georgia , on the shore of Lake Khanchal , in the village of Khojabek , Samtskhe-Javakhk region. It was built in the 19th century originally without informing the diocesan body, which is why it was not consecrated after the church was built, but in 1848 the villagers who built the church applied to the diocesan body for consecration.According to the archives of the diocese of 1866, the church is mentioned as a wooden structure. In 1882-1884, the construction of a new stone church began, about which there is an inscription on the western wall of the church.
The new church was consecrated in 1884 by Bishop Aristakes, Primate of the Armenian Diocese of Georgia և Imereti Diocese.
St. Sargis Church is a basilica-type structure, built of hewn stones, its dimensions are (18.68 x 11.02) meters, it has one entrance from the west, and at the top of the entrance, there is a bell tower on the roof.
