222-foot, 20-story modernist residential building completed in 1963. Designed by Horace Ginsbern & Associates, it is clad in beige brick above a ground floor of blue-grey polished granite on the south facade and red granite on the west facade. The main entrance is at the center of the south facade on 55th Street. It has glass sliding doors flanked by stainless-steel piers, and covered by a stainless-steel canopy. A steel runs along the top of this bay, and the bays on either side; the west bay has recessed white marble infill and the east bay has recessed plate-glass windows. There are no other openings on the south facade's ground floor except for two vents to the left. At the east end is a metal gate and a small 1-story extension with the entrance to an underground parking garage.

The ground floor along the avenue has plate-glass storefronts, and black metal service doors at the north end. The 2nd floor has dark blue-grey granite panels between the tripartite windows, and there is a narrow granite band running above them. The rest of the upper floors on the west facade have tripartite windows in each bay (except for the south end bay, which has double-windows), with aluminum framing and small, slit vents below. There are eight bays along the west facade, and the two north bays are recessed above the ground floor, with the north pane of the adjoining bay's tripartite window angled back. The south facade has a bay of double-windows and two single-windows at the west end, followed by two bays of tripartite windows, two double-windows, and a 4-pane window with the east pane angling back to the recessed end of the facade, where there is another tripartite window. The far end bay is set farther back and has a window that wraps around the corner, with one pane on the south-facing facade, and two on the east. Further back on the east facade are a bay of double-windows and a bay of single-windows.

The end bay with the tripartite window on the south facade sets back above the 17th floor, with projecting balconies with metal railings at the next two floors. The four western bays also set back at this level, with angled ends of the three top floors on the east end of the setback. This setback extends to the south three bays of the west facade, where it also meets the non-recessed bays of the top floors with an angled corner. Wide, projecting concrete balconies wrap around the southwest corner of the building. The northern two bays are also set back above the 17th floor, with balconies above.

The building contains 183 condominium units. The ground floor is occupied by Ernest Klein Gourmet Supermarket, and a Bank of America branch.
