150-foot, 16-story Renaissance-revival residential building completed in 1927. Designed by Sugarman & Berger, it is clad in brown ironspot brick above a ground floor of limestone blocks with a brown granite water table. The brick has a pattern of rough-faced, projecting bricks across its surface, and there is peach-colored terra-cotta detailing at the 2nd & 3rd floors, the top three floors, and at the center bay of the 8th & 9th floors.
The main entrance is in the central of the nine bays, with glass-and-bronze double-doors flanked by pilasters carved with sunflowers and other flower rising from vases, and is covered by a rounded, navy-blue canvas canopy extending out over the sidewalk. The four bays to the east have a plate-glass display window, a slightly-recessed commercial entrance with glass double-doors, and two more display windows, all with sloped blue awnings. To the west is a display window, a single glass door, another display window, a grey metal service door, another single glass door, and a final display window; all of these display windows also have awnings.
The upper floors have double-windows in every bay, divided by black iron mullions, from the 3rd-13th floors. The 2nd floor has paired windows, with three terra-cotta pilasters at each bay, carved with Renaissance ornament like that at the entrance, including flowers and vases. There are also terra-cotta panels with geometric patterns at the piers between the three center bays, and between the two outer bays on each side. Each of these panels as well as every window at the 2nd floor is topped by a terra-cotta round-arch with a shield and ribbons, and egg-and-dart moldings across the tops. The 2nd floor is topped by a terra-cotta band of dentils that serves as a sill course for the 3rd floor. The windows at the 3rd floor have thin terra-cotta surrounds, and the whole floor is topped by a terra-cotta band with a row of smaller round-arches.
The double-windows at the 4th-13th floors have flat brick lintels. At the 8th-9th floor the center bay is framed by spiral colonnettes, with terra-cotta spandrels between the two floors and round-arches above the two windows. There are also terra-cotta shields on the two piers flanking the center bay.
A dentiled band course caps the 13th floor, running above small brick arches at the windows, three to every double-window. The 14th floor is capped by a terra-cotta cornice on top, and has terra-cotta pilasters at each bay. 2-story fluted pilasters frame the bays at the top two floors, with spandrels in between. There are terra-cotta round-arches above the 16th-floor windows. The facade is crowned by a terra-cotta roof cornice with modillions and cresting along the top.
The side elevations are clad in lighter-colored brick, without the ornament. At the front, both sides have two bays of double-windows flanking a bay of single-windows, and at the recessed rear sections, there are two bays of triple-windows. The building contains 210 apartment units. The ground floor is occupied by Friedman's restaurant, Lilly's cocktail and wine bar, and Central Park Taekwondo.
