The Louis Marx estate is a 1903, Beaux Arts mansion, whose most notable resident was Louis Marx, a toy manufacturer known as the "Toy King of America". Originally situated on 20 acres, the property was sold following Marx's death in 1982 and subdivided. The original house remained for approximately 20 years after the initial subdivison, but after the death of its owners the house fell into a state of total disrepair. Unable to find a buyer willing to renovate it, the house was demolished and new homes built.
