Forest Hills is a neighborhood in the western part of the New York City borough of Queens. Its boundaries with adjoining neighborhoods are approximately defined by the Long Island Expressway to the north beyond which is Corona; Grand Central Parkway to the east beyond which is Flushing Meadows Corona Park; Union Turnpike to the south beyond which is Forest Park; Woodhaven Blvd. to the west beyond which is Glendale; Yellowstone & Queens Blvds. & 99th street to the northwest beyond which is Rego Park.

The neighborhood is home to upper-middle class residents, of whom the wealthier residents often live in the sub-neighborhood of Forest Hills Gardens located in the southern part of the area. Historically, Forest Hills has been home to a large Jewish population, with more than ten thousand Jewish people located in the area.The community of Forest Hills was founded in 1906; before that, the area was known as Whitepot.
