Irish Hunger Memorial

Designed in 2002 by Brian Tolle with landscape architect Gail Wittwer-Laird and 1100 Architect. The base is lined with text, which combines the history of the Great Famine with contemporary reports on world hunger, is cast as shadow onto illuminated frosted glass panels. An Irish cottage ruin from 19th century Carradoogan was moved to the top of the exhibit.

The sidewalk adjacent to the memorial was used as a filming location for White Collar S02 E06 "In the Red" where a jewelry tradeoff is observed by Peter and Neal.
