This the the Driekop Decline Shaft of the Marula Platinum Mine as it is located on the portion of the Marula mine that leases the Driekop 253 KT farm. As of November 2011 this shaft is used to mine the UG2 Reef and it will eventually reach a depth of 770 metres. Driekop was sunk on-reef from the outcrop at a minor dip of 9.5 degrees with three portal entries.
