The Tamar Bridge is a major road bridge in south-west England carrying traffic between Devon and Cornwall. The Tamar Bridge was the longest suspension bridge in the United Kingdom when it opened in 1961. In 2001 it became the world's first suspension bridge to be widened using cantilevers. The Royal Albert Bridge was designed by Isambard Kingdom Brunel.
