Dartmoor is an area of moorland in the centre of the English county of Devon in South West England. Protected by National Park status, it covers 953 km² (368 mile²).

  • Meavy the site of ancient St Peter's Church and the over 1000 year Meavy Oak tree reputed to have been used by Charles I as a hiding place during the English Civil War. Meavy Oak Inn in unique in being owned by the people of Meavy for their refreshment, pleasure and betterment ( it pays their local taxes ).
