Great Mis Tor

Great Mis Tor is a big high tor which is visible from many points on the moor. It is 538m high and is at SX 563770. It towers above the river Walkham. The tor covers a large area and consists of widely separated stacks, with lots of clitter on the valley sides around. The views on a clear day are superb - particularly those over the northern moor. However, owing to its position, the tor is often cloud covered.
