PlazAmericas (formerly Sharpstown Center and Sharpstown Mall) is a Hispanic-oriented shopping mall located in the Sharpstown community of Houston, Texas. Opened in 1961, it was the first air-conditioned, enclosed shopping mall in the Houston area. In the 1980s it double-decked and was renovated (adding JCPenney). After suffering greatly in the 2000s, it was renamed PlazAmericas and remarketed to a Hispanic clientele.

  • gangsta mall
  • Sadly, the dollar theater has closed, Macy's has destroyed a lot of good things that were once Foley's, and this mall is just about useless.
  • GHETTO.
  • This mall isn't great but, it's better than San Jacinto.
