The Non-aligned Countries Friendship Monument built in 1992, is to commemorate the spirit as contained in the High Level Conference X of the Non-aligned Movement. In this monument, 108 friendship trees consisting of various kinds well-known in the countries of origin have been planted.

The monument has the form of a globe supported by a fountain with five pigeons in the middle symbolizing togetherness, peace and the spirit of the non-aligned countries to carry out the basic principles of the vision and mission of the movement. The wish to maintain world's peace is symbolized by a garden resembling the form of an eye referring to the spirit of live, because the eye is considered as the reflection of the aspirations and far-sighted view into the future of the Non-aligned Movement.

The Non-aligned Countries Friendship Monument Park covers a large area including an open space and a plaza which are very suitable for activities and festivities centers. Various activities such as festivals, exhibitions and music performances have been held here, for example the Asia-Pacific film festival, flora and fauna exhibitions and students' drum-band performances. The park is also suitable as camping ground and outbound activities for school children.
