Was once known as the Sunda Kelapa (before 1527), Jayakarta (1527-1619), Batavia, or Jacatra (1619-1942), and Djakarta (1942-1972).

But, It is only better when it comes to people and a quiet better when it comes to military and governance.Philippines, Malaysia,and Singapore are the only countries that is ahead of Indonesia economically, which we all know these three countries has high standards of living.   • If you're foreigners, and decided to visited Jakarta (densest city in Indonesia, center of governance, economy, etc packed in one small city. can you imagine that ???) Please stay calm and get strong with all the crazy traffic jam and stupid motorcyclist...even the public transport wasn't really great and crowded with people esp. in the morning and in the evening (before and after office hours) .... If your love calmness just visit another place in Indonesia that have a lot of beaches or forest) or maybe you already knew about Bali and the beaches...Indonesia really have a lot of place and thousands islands (yeah THOUSANDSSS) (great landscape and nature) to visit instead our crazily crowded capital).
