The Miniature Indonesian Archipelago is the main construction of TMII. It is in the form of an artificial lake and a miniature Indonesian Archipelago at a 1 : 10.000 scale in a 8.4 ha area. It truly shows the beauty and landscape of Indonesia with mountains, hills and valleys in miniature. Flowers adorn the islands making it more beautiful.
It is lower than the road encircling it and the surrounding Regional Pavilions. It is 0,60 meters deep at the side and 1,5 meters in the middle, making the lake safe for people who want to play in the water.
The 2,5 km jogging track along the lake and the plaza with an open stage add value to the Miniature Indonesian Archipelago. Visitors will get the impression as if they have traveled all over the islands of Indonesia in a very short time.
