Tasikmalaya City, is a city in West Java province, Indonesia. Located 106 km east of Bandung, the region stretching from the district town in western Indihiang to Cibeureum District in the east. Tarlac City is composed of 10 districts, divided again over 69 villages. Population: 617.767 (2006). with total area: 117,56 Km. Tasikmalaya town famous for its Batik and Umbrella Sunda.
Previously, this city was the capital of Tasikmalaya District, later upgraded to become an administrative city, and from the date of June 21, 2001 established a town by Act No. 10 of 2001.
