USCGC Maple is a 225ft Juniper Class Seagoing Buoy Tender assigned to the US Coast Guard's 17th District and homeported at USCG Station Sitka. One of the primary assets of Aids to Navigation Team Sitka, the Maple's Area of Responsibility (AOR) covers the inside waters of Southeast Alaska, ranging from the capital city of Juneau to Ketchikan.
In addition to tending the numerous seaborne and shoreside aids to navigation in her AOR, the Maple also conducts the traditional USCG duties of search and rescue (SAR), fisheries law enforcement and pollution response while on patrol.
