The speedway is a 1.5-mile (2.4 km) tri-oval with 15 degree banking in the turns. The track held its first race on June 2, 2001, when the Winston West series contested the Kansas 100. The top-level NASCAR Sprint Cup series holds the annual Kansas 400 at the track.

  • Yeah this place finally put KCK on the map. For decades KCK had nothing to attract visitors and then in the early 1990s the Woodlands opened and a decade later this maaaive race track. VERY pricey tickets..IF you can get one.
