  • in the early 1990s when this place opened it was just a Greyhound track, and yours truly got hooked on that and was betting as much as $500 on one race at the end (superfecta box). I gave that up and never looked back. A fine facility though, and a few years later a horse track was added. IMHO however..legalized gambling is not good public policy...illegal gambling is bad enough! Recently the Woodlands has been whining about unfair competition with the so called river boat casinos in Missouri...Woodlands wants to add slot machines (it figures).
  • It's a shame that this track could not stay open. There seemed to be a great future with this place. Now it is a former shell of itself.
