  • extremely difficult to get to... dont try unless you are an experienced hiker/climber! the tunnel is flooded and is impossible to walk through.
  • If you park in the right place around Black Diamond you can walk the old rail bed to the Eastern portal very easily, but that is the flooded end. At least a foot of standing water. The other end has no standing water, but is VERY hard to get to.
  • A lot of orbs. May be haunted.
  • Western side is not difficult to get to if you park at the Mons Sickets Field and come directly from the north down a small open trail to the old rail road tracks. The eastern side is supposedly about a foot or two feet deep with water these days.
  • I grew up around this tunnel. It goes directly under the Mon valley country club an part of route 88, right where the Mon city an Carroll twnsp line is. There is a second tunnel as well. Between the country club n route 481. You can get to these by parking in the Monongahela cemetery where there dump is an hike threw the cliff like woods.also is posted .
  • Just visited this tunnel today. Not difficult at all to get to, but walking from one end to the other....bring a boat. Lol
