Sitkinak Island is one of the Trinity Islands located just south of Kodiak Island, Alaska.
The U.S. Coast guard maintained a LORAN transmitting station near the center of the island from 1960-1977. The U.S. Air Force started construction of a radar dome on the islands highest peak, but construction was never finished.
The uninhabited Island is now used by Alaska Meat Company for raising a herd of 600 free-roaming organic beef cattle. www.alaskameat.com
