The monument to the Soviet Soldier (Alyosha) depicts a standing Soviet soldier holding a flag in his left hand, resting its handle at his feet. It was built in 1950 after a national competition. The approved project belongs to a group of authors led by Yordan Krachmarov. The monument is located on the roundabout at the end of Aleksandrovska Street. Behind it begins the Youth Park.
