The Asklepeion in Corinth is located approximately one half kilometer from agorà. It is located outside of the ancient city center beside the nothern city wall on a hill wich provides a view of the plain below that extends to Lechaion and the Corinthian Gulf in the distance. A springs is located adjacent to the Asklepeion and has been identified by F.J.de Waele and by C.A.Roebruck as the fountain referred to as by Lerna by Pausanias.
