A row of shops fronted by a Corinthian colonnade, six on either side of a broad central staircase, is located to the west of the West Forum Temples. The broad staircase leads up from the level of the forum to the level of the precinct of Temple E. The date of the West Shops is the third quarter of the 1st century A.D.
