  • hello..some help please..according to stats. 45 arrivals and 45 departures (on average)every hour every day of the year!...(assume this is for total of the 3 runways)I have searched the area around heathrow and at stacking areas ockham,lambourne,biggin and bishops stortford yet did not spot ONE in flight!!!!where am I going wrong??..appreciate comments...cheers
  • if you weren't in the right spot in the right time, you won't see any landing flights, duh.
  • hello otwa...thanks for advice...I should have indicated flights on WIKIMAPIA...I live too far from ockham,lambourne to 'spot'...can you see any?...cheers

  • we cant see the third runway and total 2 runways
  • The third runway would have been to the north of the existing airport, about where the village of Sipson is now (the village would have been completely destroyed). Plans for a third runway were scrapped in 2010 and building work never started.
