The Open Air Theatre in the town of Veliko Tarnovo was built in 1957 but in the late 80s it stopped functioning and it had not been maintained. Throughout the years this so called stage under the stars has hosted numerous concerts of different genres. Emil Dimitrov, Lilly Ivanova, Mimi Dimitrova, Stefka Berova, Yordan Marchinkov, Shturcite are some of the artists that have performed in the Open Air Theatre. One of a kind shows with performers from all around the world Cuba, Moldova, Georgia, Serbia and India have taken part in programme of the Open Air Summer Theatre. On numerous occasions such as national holidays the stage transforms itself into a cinema where you can enjoy a movie night under the stars. On 28th of June 2013 the Open Air Summer Theatre opens its doors for visitors.
