Garampani & Nambor Wildlife Sanctuaries

Loacated in Karbi Anglong district of Assam, 25 kms away from Golaghat town and 65kms away from Kaziranga National Park. These two wildlife sanctuaries were carved out of Nambor Reserve Forest (North Division).
The Nambor Wildlife Sanctuary is about 37 sq, kms and the Garampani Wildlife Saanctuary is relatively smaller at about 6.05 sq. kms.
Gaur, Elephant, Tiger, Leopard, Sambar, Barking Deer, Lesser Cats, Hoolock Gibbon, Golden Langur, Capped Langur, Wreathed Hornbill and a large variety of birds & reptiles are found in these two wildlife sanctuaries. Some rare species of orchids are also found here.
Best time to visit is between November to April.
