subdivision (housing subdivision), neighborhood, draw only border
Goose Creek Reserve sits upon the grounds of The Goose Creek Country Club that was the centerpiece of the Country Club Oaks community for roughly 58 years. On April 1, 2014 the golf course closed and on June 30, 2014 the Country Club officially closed. The Property sat vacant for roughly a year before Gromax Development of Pearland, Texas announced that it will be transforming the 128.2 acre golf course into a DR Horton Community by the name of Goose Creek Reserve. At the same time it was announced that the old Club House (and roughly 6 surrounding acres) are expected to be bought by the owner of Bridge Water Events Center(a successful events center on Bayland Island next to the Bayland Marina in southern Baytown), Jack Adcox, and is expected to most likely become an event/banquet center or community Center that may operate under the "Goose Creek Country Club" name. In the mean time the old Club House structure has been demolished.
