Bull Run Mountain Estates is a community located along the Bull Run Mountains. The community contains approximately 500 homes and an additional 500 undeveloped lots. The community was platted in the 1950's by Coleman Gore (alleged relative of Al Gore) as a summer vacation retreat. As development and commuting times expanded in the 1970's, the community became a year round bedroom community for the Washington Suburbs.

  • You've got to try "bullrun mountain road" or something like that. This road starts in the community and winds through the mountains for miles and miles touching 3 counties. It ends on route 50. I was suprised there were such beautiful views so close to DC. There are incredible (and underpriced) lots available on the top of this mountain. One of the best kept secrets in the Washington area. Watch out for the rednecks. There are definitely some illegal activities going on in this area.
