Vembar is a village situated along the East Coast road at the north end of Tuticorin district. It has two Panchayets - Vembar North and Vembar South. Muslims, Ambalakarar and Paravas are here from the begining. Nadars came and settled here from different parts of South. Hindus and Christians are here. Christian Missionaries have developed the place.

    From start Paravars are there..but now nadars are takecare vembar..majority peoples christian nadars only...Paravars and Ambalam peoples only coming for festival times...
