A St. Louis city public Magnet high school, formerly Ofallon technical school. Stressing an emphasis on technology and sciences, including a comprehensive and extended five year aircraft maintenance program for which students recieve college credits.

Famous among area students for the fact that at Gateway you have to pick a major to study through graduation, and the heavy credit load needed to graduate (36) compared to other area schools.

The aviation program is housed in the south east of the complex, and there are several full size and complete jet engines on site for the benefit of the program.

Gateway sports teams are named the Jaguars.

One of the school's dubious nicknames among some alumni is Git High, a play on the full title of the school: Gateway Institute of Technology High School.
