This synagogue served the Jews of Stettin before being burned down on Kristalnacht by a Nazi mob. In 1940, all the Jews left in the city were deported to Belzec camp in Poland. After Poland annexed Stettin at the end of WWII, the ruins of the synagogue were town down and apartment blocks were build in its place. Today, a plaque donated by Jewish survivors from the city commemorates the site.
