Samoranovo is one of the biggest villages of the municipality of Dupnitsa. Has a population around 1750 people. It is also a starting point to the hut and Otovitsa Seven Lakes during peak Kabul. In the village Samoranovo is one of the oldest churches in the district Dupnishka church Saint George, which was built in 1848 year (nearly 57 years before the church in Dupnitsa "Sv.Georgi).
