The remains of the Baira Fortress are located about 1.5 km on the road northwest of the center of Debelets to the Cholakovtsi district of Veliko Tarnovo. The eponymous Baira hill remains to the right of the road, a hundred meters after leaving the town of Debelets, right at the right turn along the Belitsa River.
