Rusokastro Fortress

The ruins of the Rusokastro Fortress (aka "The Red Fortress") are located at hill north-east from Zhelyazovo village. The "red" in the name is because the red stones from which it was built.
The fortress walls are 2.5 m wide. From the north and east there are steep rocks that made the fortress hard to be accessed.
