The Admiralspalast is a theatre in Berlin. Construction of the building started in 1910 and it opened in 1911. After World War II until 1955 the Berlin State Opera performed in the ruined building.
In 1946 the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD) and the Communist Party of Germany (KPD) where forced by the Soviets to form the Socialist Unity Party of Germany (SED) here.
The Metropol-Theater performed in it until 1997. The building was abandoned and bought in 2005 by Falk Walter and it reopened on August 11th 2006.
