The Island, Newquay

United Kingdom / England / Newquay /
 house, island, interesting place

Despite being along the main beach in Newquay and visible to hundreds of other residences, you'll have privacy in spades here. The top of this little island can be reached only via its narrow footbridge built circa 1900. Supposedly owned at one time by the inventor of the spark plug, but I've yet to verify. Now a Bed & Breakfast. Summer crowds/the great unwashed loiter at the base of its cliffs when the tide is out.
