Cricklewood is a district of North London, located between the boroughs of Barnet, Brent and Camden. It is still an area with a large Irish community, and is mostly centered around the railway station. It is the setting for the Goodies, and has been the home at one time or another of Ken Livingstone, and Zadie Smith, Alan Coren and Denis Nilsen also came from here. The 'Beast of Barnet', a panther which had been lurking the local area was finally apprehended here by policemen, zookeepers and the RSPCA.
