Botev is the highest peak in the Balkan Mountains. It is a vast pasture with a granite base. The peak is on the territory of Dzhendema Reserve. You can reach the peak crossing the so-called Tarzan trail. It was traced in 1941 by the meteorologist and mountaineer Todor Bozhkov - Tarzan who later died there.
Weather station and telecommunication tower on the top.
The peak is a point of the European hiking route E3 (Kom - Emine).
