3-story electrical sub-station completed in 2004. Faced in pre-cast concrete, it spans five bays on 31st Street and four bays on 30th. The 2nd-from-westernmost bays at each street is taller, and houses administrative space, with entrances at the ground floor. This bay has one double-window and a narrow single-window at both upper floors, spaced widely apart.

The bays to the east house electrical equipment and are covered by brown metal panels and grilles in grids five panels wide. The water table and base of the piers between each bay are grey granite, and have modern light fixtures near the top of the 1st floor. At the far western bay, is a 1-story extension with garage doors on both streets.

The station primarily serves the Chelsea neighborhood.
