John Cockerill's statue, an Anglo-Belgian industrialist from nineteenth century. John Cockerill is represented relying on an anvil and having around him a glass blower, a mechanic, a steel worker and a miner. On the pedestal is engraved Cockerill's motto, "Work and Intelligence".
